Premiering on NBC last October, Timeless follows the exploits of history professor Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer), scientist Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett) and soldier Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter), who battle against time, traveling to some of the most remarkable moments in world history to stop enigmatic criminal Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic) from changing the natural order of the world through time travel.
Season 1 of Timeless, which concluded its 16-episode run last year, took fans on an exciting ride through history, as the unexpected trio followed Goran Visnjic aka Flynn to the 1937 site of the Hindenburg disaster, the date of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, and 1944 Germany, where the group believes Flynn is attempting to give nuclear weapons to the Nazis.
Given the exciting and unpredictable mixed-genre elements that are integral to the series, it’s hard to tell what the second season of “Timeless” has in store for us. What we know for sure is that "Timeless" season 2 will air on Sunday, March 11, at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
Wyatt and Flynn's dynamics in the series has always been antagonistic in nature. According to spoilers, in the upcoming season of "Timeless", Wyatt (Matt Lanter) will have to learn to work alongside his arch nemesis Flynn (Goran Visnjic). In fact, watching Wyatt and Flynn set aside their rivalry to defeat a common enemy is one of the storylines that most fans look forward to in the new installment. With the Rittenhouse now in possession of the time machine, Wyatt's group and the master criminal must team up and stop them. With a third party in the picture, they have no option but to work together.
We all know that Team Time will do everything to stop the Rittenhouse from taking over the world, and that includes working alongside their arch nemesis Garcia Flynn aka Goran Visnjic. The trio will find themselves forging an alliance with the master criminal to defeat a common enemy. Even if they do not trust Flynn, they have no choice but to do so.
In addition to that, season 2 of Timeless will be featuring a bunch of interesting characters, including the celebrated Nobel Prize winner, Marie Curie who will get an unexpected visit from Wyatt, Lucy and Rufus. Curie was a physicist/chemist who dedicated her life to studying radioactivity. She was the first woman to win the Nobel award twice, in two different categories.
